Great place to hangout! The square is a pivot for you way to Oxford St./ Leicester square/ Mayfair area/ Covent Garden/ Soho. Plenty of shops and large variety of restaurants along the way. Definitely the best spot for going around the the city.
Contrary to popular belief this is not a bronze but an aluminium statue. Quite delicate and cannot withstand people hanging onto one of the legs.

That's one of the best location for photographing in London during Christmas. You can see a lot of beautiful decoration on top of building. It a joining point of several street so there are a lot of people and cars.
